The ACCJH annual conference is an annual peer-reviewed conference that highlights emerging research and policy across the justice field and supports the ACCJH mission to improve evidence-based practices and policies to improve health of justice-involved populations.
It is an interdisciplinary conference bringing together researchers, clinicians, public health experts and policymakers to meet this objective. The conference is supported by UMass Chan Medical School.
ACCJH is committed to preserving and maintaining the privacy of visitors to its web site. The information below applies to Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health web site, a service of the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Health and Criminal Justice Programs. Commonwealth Medicine, the health care consulting division of University of Massachusetts Medical School (the “University”), supports the programs and activities of the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health (“ACCJH”) consisting of designated Web pages or publications of the ACCJH, its membership, departments, administrative offices, divisions, and certain registered organizations.
You may also find within the ACCJH domain— signified by the address "www.accjh.com"—personal web pages or publications created and maintained by consortium members, staff, registered organizations and others for which neither ACCJH or the University of Massachusetts is responsible for the content and administration. These pages and their content, including but not limited to factual statements and opinions, are the sole responsibility of their creators and do not represent, explicitly or implicitly, positions, policies or opinions of ACCJH. Although the ACCJH and the University encourage compliance with all policies and practices at such web sites, the university serves only as a provider of internet-related services in these cases.
Some ACCJH Web pages may provide links to other Internet sites for the convenience of users. ACCJHI is not responsible for the availability or content of these external sites, nor does ACCJH endorse, warrant, or guarantee the products, services, or information described or offered at these other Internet sites. Users cannot assume that the external sites will abide by the same Privacy Policy to which ACCJH adheres. It is the responsibility of the user to examine the copyright and licensing restrictions of linked pages and to secure all necessary permissions.
When you access the ACCJH Home Page (accjh.com), and all pages within the site, signified as those pages beginning with the Web address www.accjh.com your visit is not tracked by individual name or any other identifiable mark.
The www.accjh.org web site uses technology which has the capacity to store cookies which retains data on visitors/members and tracks use of the site for those users logged in. Unless programmed differently, a session cookie only lasts for the duration of users using the website and session cookies are normally deleted when at the end of the session.
The ACCJH website uses first-party cookies to track visitor interactions. These cookies are used to store information, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page. Browsers do not share first-party cookies across domains. Every computer and device connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet protocol (IP) address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country, state, and city from which a computer is connecting to the Internet. The ACCJH site collects the IP address of website visitors in order to provide website owners a sense of where in the world their visitors come from. This method is known as IP geo-location.
ACCJH does not report the actual IP address information to others. Additionally, using a method known as IP masking, website owners that use similar technology have the option to only use a portion of the IP address, rather than the entire IP address, for geo-location.
Some computer information and automatic and optional information is collected. Automatic information includes:
We collect this personal information (such as name, address, phone, e-mail address) only if you provide it to us voluntarily through e-mail, registration forms, information request forms or surveys, or otherwise. Personal information is kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except as may be required by law. Credit card information is only collected for specific purposes where the information is required for the transaction, such as to register you in a course or program, or when we accept donations. Any information of that nature is saved on a secure server and is only accessible to authorized employees to process payments or registrations or for other legitimate purposes. Once processed, the information is deleted from the server. Credit card information collected via commercial services is not stored on our server.
All information provided to ACCJH is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of the www.accjh.org site that is accessible only by certain qualified employees of the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.
All text, images, logos and information contained on the ACCJH web site that is the intellectual property of ACCJH gives the owner exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, perform, display, or license a given work. Whether or not a Web site includes a statement about copyright, the U.S. copyright act provides protection for such works, and they may not be used or reproduced without permission.
It is the responsibility of all parties storing materials on the web site with ACCJH “www.accjh.com” domain addresses to ensure that such material does not violate other parties' proprietary rights and does not otherwise violate law or applicable ACCJH or University policy. ACCJH reserves the right to delete or make inaccessible files that contain material that is in violation of law or of applicable ACCJH or University policy. ACCJH is not responsible for any errors in the material provided on the Web and shall not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of any material found any ACCJH site or on any other sites with accjh.com domain addresses.
The design, pictures, and logos used on Web sites directly managed by ACCJH may not be copied and used or posted by any other person or entity, including other units/offices at the University of Massachusetts.
